(April 1, 2018):- The leaders and employees of the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority discussed a draft document on government service delivery prepared by the Addis Ababa City Administration Public Service and Human Resources Development Bureau at the institution’s meeting hall on the same day.
According to the Deputy Acting Director of the Authority’s Engineering and Operations Sector, Mr. Elias Zerga, who presented the document, the discussion on the document aims to elevate the quality of service delivery of the institution to a higher level.

By identifying problems in government service delivery, and informing the rights and obligations of service providers and recipients, and indicating that it is appropriate to increase customer satisfaction, Engineer Elias pointed out that the document states that when providing services, they should be based on the needs of the customer; measured in time, cost and quantity, and should add value to the customer.

The Deputy Acting Director of the Road Safety Supervision and Insurance Fund of the Authority, Ato Amare Tarekne, who attended the discussion, said that employees are expected to serve the public with honesty and integrity and respect the entry and exit times set by the government.
He also noted that all leaders and employees of the institution are expected to work harder than ever to increase customer satisfaction by creating strong trust between the service provider and the customer and by further modernizing the service delivery.
The employees discussed the document and reached an agreement to serve the customers with sincerity and loyalty.

In this regard, Ato Brook presented a detailed report on the nine-month report of the fiscal year, which included the institution's media and communication activities, strategic goals and directions, key and major activities, social services, strengths, problems encountered and solutions taken, and future focus areas.
In particular, he indicated that the authority's media and communication activities during the nine-month period have been able to enhance the image of the institution in a positive way by serving as a bridge between the institution and the public through social networks and mainstream media, as well as through page-to-page public relations.
The task force also presented in detail the activities they have carried out to reduce the number of deaths and property damage caused by traffic accidents and to make the flow peaceful.
In the report submitted, it was noted that the authority has been encouraging that it has completed all activities according to the plan by more than 100 percent in 9 months, involving all stakeholders from management to employees, to ensure that the city's traffic movement is peaceful and acceptable. It was also noted that extensive discussions were held with the employees on issues that should be focused on in the future, and the management has also directed them.
