In our city, there are more than 180 traffic lights and 15 pedestrian crossing lights (Push-Buttons) that manage vehicles and pedestrians, and necessary monitoring and control as well as 24/7 work principle adjustments will be made based on the community's suggestions, according to the head of the infrastructure improvement team of the authority office, Mr. Adahewu Re. He mentioned that the role of traffic lights is important in reducing road congestion caused by the number of vehicles and traffic jams at road junctions, reducing wasted time and saving vehicle fuel. The team leader said that the traffic lights being repaired and put into use every season will also reduce overlapping conflicts caused by traffic jams. In the future, the authority will install new traffic lights on additional roads in the city in relation to traffic lights. It is also known that the improvement and maintenance of traffic lights will continue.
