Today, Addis Ababa City Police has started the construction of a modern police residential village. With the reform works that we are doing in our city administration and the police institute and the task of making sure that the army is properly entrusted by the people, we have turned our promise that "we will build the army village" into action today. We have started the housing construction for the police force that serves Addis Ababa, the growing and modernizing center of Africa and the 3rd largest diplomatic center in the world. There are 12 buildings with 15 floors. It is to reduce the social and economic pressures of the army members so that they can serve the people diligently and properly. We will continue to strengthen our support for the work that has been started by the commission to equip the army members with techniques, knowledge and technology, as well as the reform work that has been started to improve the life of the army. May the Creator bless Ethiopia and its people! Mayor Adane Abebe
