Road Safety Education Begins at Addis Ababa Exhibition Center on the Occasion of Christmas

(T/M/B December 20/2018):- The Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority (ADTA) has launched a road safety awareness program at the Christmas Trade Fair (Bazaar) being held at the Addis Ababa Exhibition Center today.
The Directorate of Road Safety Awareness and Capacity Building, in collaboration with 11 DUM Branch Offices and the Addis Ababa Police Commission, is taking advantage of the opportunity to educate the public on road safety as a large number of city residents attend the trade fair (Bazaar).

Various brochures and leaflets were distributed to the public during the education program, and audio and page-to-page messages were delivered.
The awareness campaign will continue until the eve of the holiday, said Ato Barnabas Hailu, the leader of the awareness campaign team. He also called on drivers to drive responsibly and pedestrians to take the necessary precautions during the holiday, as drunk driving is a major cause of road traffic accidents.
