Capacity building training was given to members of civic associations working to ensure road safety

(T/M/B January 20/2018 A.D.):-The Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority (ADTA) held a capacity building training today with members of religious institutions, voluntary traffic associations, taxi associations and educational institutions working in partnership to ensure road safety.
According to the Deputy Director General, Ato Amare Tarekne, the authority is working diligently to ensure road safety and ensure peaceful flow.
In order to reduce traffic accidents and ensure safety, the authority is achieving excellent results by implementing various awareness campaigns, road engineering, traffic control, and post-accident response activities with the support of technology. The Deputy Director General said that the role of civic associations is also significant and should be strengthened.

The Deputy Director General further requested that all stakeholders play their part in creating a road safety awareness, change attitudes and create a road user community that recognizes the seriousness of traffic accidents and respects the laws and regulations, as it is not only the responsibility of one institution but also requires joint coordination.
Subsequently, the Road Safety Awareness and Capacity Building Directorate team leaders, Ato Barnabas Hailu and Ato Tesfaye Berhe, presented a training document focused on road safety in a sequential manner.
The documents also included information on road safety, pillars, causes of traffic accidents and accident reports. Participants also announced that they would support the efforts of the institution to ensure road safety.
