(T/MA/BA April 14/2018) The Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority, in accordance with the authority and duties granted by the city administration, implements and manages the city's traffic signs and signals, road markings, traffic lights and other traffic control systems.
Accordingly, in the first nine months of the fiscal year, 190 drivers who damaged the city's roads for various reasons due to high cost were provided with property damage compensation services, said Ato Girum Temtem, the head of the infrastructure development team.

The institution is responsible for the road traffic signs and signals, traffic lights, The leader of the group explained that since the assets are purchased and installed at high cost, drivers may not have expected it when they were asked to pay for the estimated damage, pointing out that they are on bollards, pedestrian fences, safety rollers, and safety mirrors.

He called on drivers who caused damage to come to the institution to receive the service, as they need a letter from the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority for insurance payment or third-party property damage compensation service.
Finally, he urged drivers to comply with traffic laws and regulations when using their roads and to be very careful about road infrastructure.
