More than 600 Assistant Student Traffic Officers Graduated

(T/M/B December 25/2018):- The Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority, in collaboration with the Addis Ababa Police Headquarters, graduated 650 students who received traffic management training at Menelik 2nd Level School today.
The Deputy Director General, Ato Amare Tarekne, who opened the graduation program with a speech, said that in our district, people lose their lives, lose their bodies, and destroy property due to traffic accidents.
The Authority has been providing traffic management training to more than 6,000 students in schools identified as vulnerable to traffic accidents for the past nine years, especially in school areas.
Continuing this work, he said that 650 assistant student traffic officers will be graduated today in the 2018 budget year.


The graduation ceremony was then held officially, and the assistant student traffic controllers who performed well during the training, the teachers from 93 schools in 11 districts who made the training successful, and the traffic police members who provided the training received certificates of appreciation and recognition from the Authority’s Advisor, Ato Alemseged Zewde, and the Deputy Director General, Ato Amare Tarekne.
Finally, the students performed traffic control performances accompanied by music from the Addis Ababa Police Marching Band for invited guests.
