We will pass our winter virtues to a higher manifestation - Government Communication Service Ethiopians have been building two core cultures that we cherish during the winter of the past years of change; Dressing Ethiopia Green and Volunteering. Realizing that Ethiopia's forest resources are dwindling, and its vulnerability to soil erosion and drought is increasing, the government started the green footprint program by planting a million saplings a few years ago. Ethiopians also realized this good start and dream of destination at a higher level and by implementing the Green Footprint program with initiative, we have recorded successes that have impressed the world. In the process, we have greatly enhanced our tradition of dressing Ethiopia green while leaving our footprints by planting food, forest and beauty saplings. By planting several billion saplings every year, we have planted 48 billion saplings, which is five times the world's population; In this way, we have increased Ethiopia's forest cover as much as possible. We have started laying the foundation for our food sovereignty. We have grown our fruit export business. According to the results of a study announced two years ago, our forest cover has recovered at a rapid rate from the extreme decline and has increased to 23.6%. In a special situation, we have been improving our own records by planting millions of trees in one night in a way that we have attracted the world's attention with our overnight sapling planting programs that require the concerted and determined initiative of Ethiopians. The food, forest and beauty saplings that we have planted through the Green Footprint program will change the whole of Ethiopia and confirm our food sovereignty. Flowers and fruits are changing the growth of our business and strengthening the resilience to climate change. Therefore, we will continue to work diligently to strengthen and develop the culture of the Green Footprint program, which is carried out by movement every winter. By wearing Ethiopia green, we contribute clean air to the world. This year, we will plant more than 8 billion saplings, improving our own record with the participation of millions. Summer volunteering is another new and growing practice. Young people have used their knowledge and time left over from education, and investors have contributed their wealth to build houses and share meals for the poor and needy. Government institutions are also fulfilling the responsibility of expanding this charitable experience and raising it to a higher level of culture by contributing from their savings. During the years of change, the houses of many disabled people were renovated in Addis Ababa and the regions. It has been rebuilt. Their lives have been improved. Corridor development that started in cities has spread to rural areas. Ethiopians have been developing a culture of solving our problems together. University students are making a great contribution by going to their local areas and teaching their children through cross-border voluntary service, coordinating life-saving activities such as blood donation, and helping the vulnerable. Therefore, a plan has been prepared that requires greater participation this year than in previous years so that the green footprint and voluntary works that we have been growing as a good experience every winter become more of our national profile and culture. It has been prearranged. In order to achieve Ethiopia's plan with our combined capabilities, we have completed preliminary preparations and entered into implementation. We will announce our victory together. Federal Government Communication Service
