The Market Stabilization, Illicit Trade Control and “Ethiopia Addis Ababa Tamert” Task Force reviewed the work done to ensure stable trading during the Eid al-Fitr holiday and to prevent product shortages and unreasonable price increases during the upcoming Easter holiday, as well as to prevent illegality.

According to Addis Ababa City Deputy Mayor and Task Force Chairman Ato Jantrar Abay, who led the discussion, the work done to increase supply during the Eid al-Fitr holiday is encouraging, and the leadership will work diligently to prevent product shortages and unreasonable price increases during the upcoming Easter holiday.
The members of the task force, for their part, said that they have made sufficient arrangements to ensure broker-free trading by establishing ties with the regions to prevent supply shortages and unreasonable price increases.
Finally, Honorable Ato Jantrar Abay urged the government to work diligently to prevent supply shortages and illegal activities during the upcoming Easter holiday by developing a concrete plan to solve the problem, ensuring supply, preparing locations, monitoring supply, and ensuring that there are no brokers at shopping centers.
