As the manager of Bole branch office Mr. Biruk Wakoya said when he started the training, the members of parking associations are expected to know and follow the instructions on parking infrastructure.
In addition, the members of the associations have a significant role in the effort to build the appearance of the organization, they have to serve the society by respecting the laws and regulations.
Engineer Fiyalew Getahun, Director of Parking and Road Traffic Infrastructure Administration, who gave the training, explained the meaning of parking space management, including allocating, using and implementing parking spaces, and developing road traffic infrastructure is cleaning and beautifying.
The contents of the training are parking administration systems, types of parking infrastructure, organization of associations and the functions and responsibilities of the authorities. They have given a wide explanation on the contents.
According to Mr. Fiyalew's statement, Addis Ababa City Administration Traffic Management Authority has been given authority to manage the parking services provided in the whole city by proclamation number 64/2011, article 49, 79/2014 article 51 and amended proclamation 84/2016.
