The Chief of the Crime Prevention Department held a discussion with leaders from the community police service, crime prevention, traffic control and other levels on the current security situation. The Director General stated that it was possible to create a peaceful and safe city by focusing on the causes of crime before it is committed by changing the operating system and changing the crime situation in the capital. He said that the institution has been given special attention by the leadership to improve the lives of the army and that the initiative started in all sub-cities is commendable especially regarding the construction of permanent housing. He also recalled the initiation of the construction of housing, medical center and members' common residence under the initiative of the Honorable Mayor Adanech Abebe. He said that as the institute is carrying out many pre-crime prevention and crime prevention activities by involving the society, the members and the management at all levels should continue to strengthen the activities of early prevention and removal of the causes of crime.
