Our additional success is a green footprint! The Green Footprint program, which Ethiopians look forward to leaving their footprints every year, is not only increasing the coverage of the country's green plants, but also preventing climate change and bringing about significant changes in people's lifestyles. This project, which the Ethiopians succeed every year with added capacity, is making significant contributions to prevent deforestation and improve the local climate in Ethiopia, and to ensure food sovereignty by greening the barren land and especially in building a green economy. This national project is laying a foundation for the future of the country by reducing land degradation, strengthening soil and water conservation activities, ensuring food and water security, improving livelihoods, and increasing resilience to climate change. With this successful work, the forest cover of Addis Ababa city has reached 22 percent of its previous level. Through the green footprint program, many jobs have been created in the process of preparing saplings to maintaining them. As a result, the economic benefit of the citizens has improved. Especially edible seedlings are being widely planted. In this national project, by involving the community and carrying out planting and maintenance works on a large scale, it has become a good example not only in the country but also in the neighboring countries. #Let's plant hope
