However, the Green Footprint work we do today is not of the mind, but of the heart! According to the development plan, we have achieved the goal of covering 30 percent of our city with green in a short period of time, and it is said that our plan to make Addis Ababa a modern, beautiful and smart city at the international level is on a solid foundation. We needed critical resources to make this huge success a reality. They are: the political commitment of the government and the active participation of our people, which cannot be replaced at all. Many things have been said and written about planting saplings in the past. However, the reason why tangible results were not achieved was because these two critical resources were not combined.
