The authority achieved encouraging results in road improvement engineering and parking works. July 3, 2018 (Arada FM) Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority has announced that there are 73,487 parking spaces in Addis Ababa. The institute explained that in the 2018 fiscal year, road improvement engineering activities and the preparation, expansion and management of driver parking facilities were focused. Types of paint include solid and dashed dividing lines, zebra crossings, chevrons, directional arrows, bicycle lanes on highways and riverfront projects, running track lanes, vehicle parking areas. He also said that 1,916 road signs were installed, 106 rubber and concrete asphalt speed bumps, 34 new traffic lights and 500 square meters of ramp construction were completed. He also announced that the number of parking spaces under individual buildings before and after the fiscal year has been increased to 2,226. Currently, 226 parking spaces in the city are serving 73 thousand 487 vehicles.
