His biography explains that Commander Mesfen Leth was born to his father Ato Beleth Buru and his mother Mrs. Showaye Shefferau on March 21, 1969 in Boji Gofere Kebele Association, West Showa Zone, Boto District, Oromia Regional Government. They completed their primary and secondary education at Union Fruit First and Middle High School. With the desire of the leadership to serve their country as a police officer, on February 5, 1991, they joined the Oromia Police and took basic police training. He has been serving as a special secretary, teacher, education training division head at Oromia Police College as well as the Head of Bulbula Training at the Oromia Police Commission in West Wolega Nekmet City in crime prevention and secretary. On January 5, 2014, he was transferred to the Addis Ababa Police Headquarters and worked as the Commander of the Gelan Gura Police Department of the Aqaki Kaliti Sub-city Police Department, and in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Lemi Kura Sub-district Police Department. They served their country till the day they died. Commander Duke was a respectful person who worked in harmony with all his colleagues, while carrying out the great responsibility and trust given to him with sincerity and honesty, he passed away at the age of 49 after being treated for an illness.
