According to Road Transport Traffic Control Regulation No. 395/2009, offenses committed by pedestrians and the resulting penalty
1. Those who cross the road without taking proper care will be fined 40 Birr.
2. A vehicle that stops or travels on a road approved for a vehicle without a valid reason will be fined 40 Birr.
3. A person who travels on the right side of the road without a sidewalk will be fined 40 Birr.
4. Anyone who travels outside the designated pedestrian path will be fined 40 Birr.
5. Anyone who conducts business or places materials on the footpath, in any case obstructing the movement of pedestrians, will be fined 40 Birr.
6. Anyone who crosses the road and crosses the road fenced with iron or wall will be fined 80 Birr.
7. Anyone who crosses the road while listening to different sounds with headphones will be fined 80 Birr.
8. Anyone who crosses a road with a sign saying that it is forbidden for pedestrians or a ring road where pedestrians are prohibited from crossing will be fined 80 Birr.
9. Any person who is unable or unwilling to pay any of the offenses listed in order No. 1 to 8 will be provided with an appropriate social service. Pedestrians obey traffic rules and regulations when using the road!
