More than 50 thousand pedestrians were given education about road safety

(T/MA March 19/07/2016) Traffic Management Authority Wind Phone Lafto Branch Office has given education to more than 50 thousand pedestrians in the 3-day awareness program on pedestrian road use. In Haile Garment area where there are many pedestrians in the district, it was possible to spread awareness to more than 50,000 pedestrians and the local community about the offenses committed by pedestrians and the resulting penalties for 3 consecutive days.
The manager of the branch, Mr. Ashebir Zewde, explained to our class that in addition to giving lessons, punitive action will be taken against pedestrians who do not follow the correct road usage. The awareness program was carried out in collaboration with the members of the traffic division of the city and volunteer traffic organizers. In Haile Garment area where pedestrians are a lot in the sub-city, regulation number 395/2009 has been raised awareness for more than 50,000 pedestrians and the surrounding community for 3 days.
The branch office manager Mr. Asheber Zewde told our department that pedestrians who do not follow the proper use of the road will be punished based on proper education. The awareness program was done in collaboration with members of the sub-city traffic division and volunteer traffic managers. ·
