Addis Ababa, June 10, 2016: Addis Ababa, June 10, 2016: Addis Ababa City Roads Authority is one of the roads being built by the Jamo Africa Building-Jemo Glass Factory road for traffic. The drivers and local residents we talked to told us that the opening of activities is contributing to the smoothing of the traffic flow in the area. Mrs. Rehima Bogale, a Bajaj driver who uses the road every day, said that in the past, the road was not convenient for drivers and pedestrians, so they frequently broke down and had to pay a lot of money. He said that the construction of the road will ease the problem and speed up the traffic flow. Mr. Bogale Bothe is a local resident and he recalled that before the road was built, when the road was filled with mud and water in winter, pedestrians were subjected to extreme abuse. He said that the construction of the road has solved the problem of entry and exit. Mr. Ephraim Abere, who has been in charge of patrolling the area for four years, said that in the past, the road was not suitable for pedestrians or vehicles, so it was difficult for pregnant mothers to go to the hospital. Mr. Ephraim added that the road has now been constructed, which has solved the previous problem and is streamlining the traffic flow as it is an alternative route for drivers traveling from Jemo Michael ring road junction to Jemo traffic light and the surrounding area. This road project has a length of 1.6 km and a side width of 20 meters, and the first phase of asphalt paving has been completed. In addition, footpath work is underway and currently the physical performance of the road project has reached more than 93 percent. @ Addis Ababa City Roads Authority
