Binyam Getachew, director of the parking management directorate of the authority, said that the training was organized to respond to how we can solve the parking problem in our city together and to make each of us fulfill our own responsibilities. According to Ato Binyam, there are three basic problems caused by vehicles parking on the roads in connection with the lack of parking spaces suitable for the increasing number of vehicles in our city; Traffic congestion, road underutilization and traffic accidents. Mr. Binyam said that the purpose of the regulation is to establish a streamlined and safe road use system by enabling the proper management of vehicle parking areas in the city. . In the awareness raising training, it was stated that a vehicle parking service provider who commits acts prohibited by the Vehicle Parking Service Provision Regulation No. 165/2016 may be punished with an administrative fine of three thousand to ten thousand silver depending on the extent of the offense. Various questions and comments were presented from the participants on the awareness raising training, and adequate responses and explanations were given, and it was found that the participants of the training had a good understanding of the regulation and its implementation. Finally, the representative head of the Kirkos branch office, Mrs. Sun Haile, said that we are looking at the building plans to see if the basement is used as a vehicle parking lot and if it is included in the service delivery system.
