A community police service center was built and inaugurated. *** Addis Ababa; July 02, 2018 (New Police): In Arada sub-city police headquarters, Piasa area police department inaugurated the community police service center which was built at a cost of more than 5 million birr in coordination with the community. At the inauguration of the state-of-the-art Community Police Service Center built by Piasa Area Police Department in Ward 1, Ward 6, the inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of Arada Sub-city Chief Executive Brother Umer, Arada Sub-city Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Ainalem Yeine, senior police leadership and members of the sub-city, district executives, and local residents. According to the Chief Executive Officer of Arada Sub-city, his brother Umar said that peace and security are the basis of development and progress in the daily life of the community, and this grace can be sustained only when a strong and unbreakable bond is created between the police and the community. The Community Police Service Center, which is ready for graduation, will further strengthen the relationship between the community and the police, is a precautionary center where we can prevent crime together, and where any resident can consult and exchange information freely. Arada Sub-city Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Ainalem Yeine said that in the past, various crimes were committed in the area. Inspector Faysa Zewde, the commander of the Police Department of the Piasa area, said that the standard center was built by the community's volunteers at a cost of 5,200,000 (five million two hundred thousand) Birr and the work was done according to a hundred days of planning.
