Gen. Department Commander M/Commissioner Tofiq Meded, Crime Investigation Department Commander/Commissioner Erzik Issa, Gulele District/City Police Chief Department Commander M/Commissioner Nganye Tsbebu, officials at all levels and local residents were present. Addis Ababa Police Department Commander, Lt. Gen. Asrat Denero, said that the movement to build a modern police service department is encouraging. In particular, he mentioned that the construction of a common house for the members would be a morale booster for the army and if it is done in a coordinated way, it will play a lion's share in improving the living standards of the army. The Chief Executive Officer of Gulele District, Mr. Wolde Wegese, said that security concerns in the district have been resolved and many development works have been carried out since the change leaders came. He said that the district administration has prepared the land for the construction and will work with determination to complete the construction on schedule. The chief executive stated that the construction of the district police headquarters will be started and the support to the police will continue. The Deputy Commissioner of the Police Department of the district, Deputy Commissioner Nainye Tsebu, said that the Police Department of Chife will help prevent crime by creating a comfortable workplace. He said that alongside the construction, the construction of a permanent condominium for members and management will help the police force to focus on its work and work with determination in maintaining the peace and security of the city.
