Today, we are witnessing the same repetition of history and change in the heart of our motherland, Addis Ababa. "Addis Ababa is a symbol of prosperity" in the spirit of change, the city has shaken off its old and shabby appearance, and is being demolished and rebuilt. With the change movement started by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.), Addis Ababa has entered into an irreversible wave of change to become "Addis Ababa" befitting its name. Just as the leaders of Singapore demolished the old city and turned it into an international destination, our leaders are turning temporary challenges into opportunities and are working day and night to make Addis Ababa the African center of tourism and world diplomacy, the African economic engine and the center of gravity of beauty. Corridor developments, riverfront landmarks, smart city projects, and extensive road infrastructure are part of this transgenerational vision now underway in Addis Ababa. Apart from making the city clean, green and comfortable for its residents, a lot of efforts are being made to make it a preferred destination for international tourists, big investors and diplomats. Like Singapore's reformists, the force of change leading Addis Ababa has persevered through challenges, criticisms and temporary campaigns, looking at the bigger picture and repurposing the city. The growth of the city is not only limited to road expansion, but it also strengthens social interaction and makes the city an international destination for conferences and meetings. There is one great truth that this common struggle of reformist leaders shows. That no great city is created by chance, wish or luck. Visionary leaders are showing us in practice that they can create the best city in the world by tearing down the old and building a new one, connecting the city with the current economic and technological speed. According to the new development structure created by these forces of change, Addis Ababa is an inevitable historical fact that it will be a center of international gravity, which will rank among the top ten cities in the world in the near future, by combining its glory as the political capital of Africa with the superiority of economy and tourism. Ethiopia's reformist leaders, who considered demolition not as destruction, but as a new beginning, as a rebirth, are indeed proud of their determination to make Addis Ababa the city of light of tomorrow. Therefore, just as a new city cannot be built from old ideas, by demolishing the old and putting it into practice, there is no doubt that Addis Ababa will achieve its vision of becoming the world's best tourism and economic city, and emerge as the Singapore of Africa for generations to come.
