(Addis Police): On July 11, 2018 A.D., in the presence of Lemi Kura sub-district police chief/commissioner Shimeles Shiferau, head of Ward 9 Peace and Security Office Mr. Wana Kitata and head of law enforcement Mr. Millioni Kinatu and other guests, 10 were bought for 1 million 800 thousand birr with the support of the community. Electric motorcycles have been launched. In his speech at the event, the Commander of the General Department said that security work is not left to one side only. He said that it is commendable that the community understands the work of peace and security and working with the police. He said that the work of the residents of Goro area for the success of the security operation is very admirable. He conveyed his message that the activities being done with the community should be strengthened in other areas. On his part, Commander Nesredin Mustafa, the commander of the Gorou area police department, said that it was possible to reduce crime in 2018 by working 24/7 in coordination with other security agencies to maintain the security and safety of the area. The department commander added that a three-storey building for the members' residential camp is being constructed with the participation of the community. Commander Nesredin Mustafa said that the fact that the community bought and handed over a motorcycle and is building a police camp is proof that the residents stand by the police and thanked them for their cooperation. It was understood from the statement of the department commander that the police officers were trained and handed over the motorcycles that were bought by discussing with the community. The Chief Executive Officer of D'M Driver Training School, Dawit Getahun, accepted the police department's request for cooperation and said that his institution has given authority to the police officers.
