In the forum, Commander Seif Abera said that crime has been reduced by coordinating the community in the fiscal year. In the 2019 fiscal year, the police will continue to strengthen its ties with the community and stakeholders. Mrs. Mekia Hussain, who was present on behalf of the district administration, expressed her gratitude for the contributions of the community in the crime prevention work carried out by the police. He also said that the community and the police should be strengthened in order to do better peace and crime prevention work in the district. Similarly, Yeka sub-city police headquarters held the discussion at Kebena Park in which various sections of the society, religious leaders and stakeholders were present. Commander Hailu Askale, Deputy Head of the Department of Crime Prevention and Community Police Service of the sub-city, said that it was possible to reduce crime at the sub-city level due to the strengthening of the police's ties with the community and stakeholders.
