The staff of the authority office and volunteer traffic organizers conducted the 8th round of sapling planting program. They held around 14 today. Amare Tareqin, Director General of the authority office said while opening the program with a speech that the staff of the authority office and volunteer traffic organizers actively participated in the continuous sapling planting program in all eight rounds and the saplings that were planted were successful. Mr. Amare said that the green footprint was initiated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) and has now become a culture of the community. He also mentioned that the planted fruit saplings, apart from the trees, are also a source of income for the farmers. Employees and volunteer traffic organizers said that they were happy to be part of the program every year when they systematically and correctly planted saplings, and that they felt that they were fulfilling the responsibility of handing over a climate-friendly country to their children.
