Addis Ababa, March 12, 2016 (FBC) President Joe Biden’s administration has announced the release of a law limiting the size of fuel-efficient cars.
The law will make 56 percent of the US cars to be electric vehicles by the year 2032, and the goal is to reduce carbon emissions by increasing the number of electric cars.
As a result, it has been decided that car manufacturing companies should electrify more than half of their car products, and it is said that car manufacturing companies that do not do so will be fined.
The country’s Environmental Protection Agency has stated that the Gasoline Vehicle Restriction Act announced by the Joe Biden administration will prevent 7 billion tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
The agency pointed out that the decision will greatly contribute to the prevention of air pollution by reducing carbon emissions from year to year.
It is said that this decision of the Biden administration allowed the United States to become a country that took action on fuel-efficient cars after the European Union and the United Kingdom to prevent climate change.
According to the BBC, only eight percent of the total car production was produced in America last year. @FBC (Fana Broadcasting Corporate SC)
