In the 9th month of this fiscal year, compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year, the number of deaths caused by traffic accidents has decreased from 305 to 286, which has decreased by 6.5 percent. According to Mr. Amare, the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority has carried out various activities to achieve this result. The authority is responsible for the control work that is supported by knowledge. According to Dereje Warku, the leader of the traffic control team at the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority, who gave the training, the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority was established by Decree No. 43/2007, and its main purpose is to facilitate flow and reduce traffic accidents. One of the tasks to ensure traffic flow and road safety is law enforcement. According to Mr. Dereje, the Addis Ababa traffic management authority is implementing fourteen legal frameworks issued in the transportation sector. As Ato Dereje explained, the concept of traffic management consists of four basic issues: engineering, awareness (education), traffic incident management and law enforcement; Traffic management is the sum of these four.
