The authority gave evaluation training ************************** (T/M/B September 10/2017):- Addis Ababa Traffic Management Official Road Safety The Directorate of Awareness and Capacity Building provided evaluation training on voluntary service delivery and ethics to volunteer traffic organizers from eleven branch offices. Birhanu Kuma, Director of Road Safety Awareness and Capacity Building Directorate of Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority, who started the training program, said that volunteer traffic organizers are required to wear good manners in their work. To help achieve this, the training focuses on ethical principles. Like Mr. Birhanu's voluntary work, citizens do not lose their lives or get injured due to traffic accidents on the road. Therefore, volunteering is an important activity that will be passed on to the next generation as well. Inspector Tamru, Head of Public Awareness Coordination, Traffic Control Department of Addis Ababa General Department, who delivered a message at the training, emphasized that rescuing citizens from road traffic is not left to one institution alone, but requires the coordinated action of all parts of society. According to Mr. Barnabas Hailu, the leader of the road safety awareness team at the Road Safety Awareness and Capacity Building Directorate of the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority, voluntary service has social and economic benefits, but it also has political benefits as it has the potential to encourage citizens to accelerate development. The training is focused on the nature, importance and principles of volunteering, duties and responsibilities of volunteering, and ethics and character. As indicated in the training, volunteers should pay special attention and support to children, the elderly and the disabled in their work. The training was organized and coordinated by the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority Road Safety Awareness and Capacity Building Directorate Road Safety Capacity Building Group and finally gave certificates to the trainees who took the training.
