They reported that 3,800 drivers who did not wear a seat belt were fined. In addition, 144 motorists were fined for not wearing crash protection caps/helmets and 6,504 motorists were fined for talking on the phone according to Rule No. 395/2009, which is a 6.34% improvement compared to the same period last year. On his part, Birhanu Kuma, director of the institute's road safety awareness capacity building directorate/representative, said that the directorate's efforts to raise public awareness about road safety, such as through publications, supporting formal education, conducting road safety campaigns, providing training, conducting research, symposiums and discussions, establishing clubs, He said that by strengthening the monitoring of the deployment of organizers and institutions and the participation of partners, it was possible to achieve better results in the fiscal year. Amare Tarekhun, the deputy director general of the department of the school, thanked the members who contributed to the result by recording better results in the 3 quarters of the fiscal year in terms of awareness and control work.
