Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority has stated that the Road Safety Engineering Directorate is carrying out road painting works to be completed in five days at three selected locations in the city. Speaking about the project, the director Mr. Merga Sefera said, “The work of this project came from the office of the mayor of Addis Ababa city administration to the office of the authority, and it is intended to have designated areas for children to play, especially for the roads that will be closed for the road that is held every week. The street painting works are children's play area (Play Graouar) and the places are usually located in the area of 24, 46 communal housing, Sailite Mhret area and Bole Ethio Parents' school area. Ato Merga explained that the roads have their own colors and designs, and the areas should not have traffic jams. He explained that especially on Sundays, they are used as toys for children and also work to protect children from road traffic accidents. It was understood from the director's statement that the design was prepared by an external contractor called GDCI.
