In Addis Ababa city administration yesterday, 3 people died and 1 person was seriously injured in a traffic accident in 3 sub-cities. According to the traffic management authority of Addis Ababa city administration, the Bole, Akaqi Kaliti and Ledta branch offices announced that some deaths in traffic accidents were recorded in all the three sub-cities yesterday. In addition to one death recorded in a traffic collision with pedestrians in the Skylight Hotel area of Bole sub-district, the branch office announced that one person was seriously injured. Also, one person died in a collision with a pedestrian in the area commonly known as Cheraalia in Akaki Kaliti sub-district and one person died in Lida sub-district. Although the causes of the accidents are being investigated by the traffic police, it is assumed that it is not due to the pedestrians' wrong use of the road due to drinking and the driver's driving over the speed limit. Both pedestrians and drivers should use our roads properly to protect ourselves and others from such traffic accidents. It is recalled that the official office has been conducting strict control supported by awareness to prevent traffic collisions related to the holiday. According to the Addis Ababa City Administration Traffic Management Authority, Bole, Akaki Kality and Ledeta branch offices, some deaths have been recorded in all three sub cities due to traffic accidents. The branch office has announced that one person died and one person was injured in a traffic collision that happened to pedestrians around Sky Light Hotel in Bole sub city. Also in Akaki Kality sub-city usually known as Cheraliya, one person died in a pedestrian accident. Even though the causes of the accidents are being investigated by the traffic police, it is assumed that due to the holiday, pedestrians are using the road incorrectly and driving above the speed limit. Being pedestrians and drivers, let us use our roads properly and protect ourselves from traffic accidents. It has been noted that the authorities have been conducting a strict control based on awareness to prevent traffic accidents that come up in connection with the holiday. ·
