Yesterday, July 19/2016, in Addis Ababa city, individuals who caused damage to infrastructure in different sub-cities were fined according to the suggestions given by the public. Based on this: 1. One vehicle that broke Coverstone Road in Bole Sub-City was fined 5,000 Birr. Also, in the same sub-city district, a vehicle that dumped 12 waste products (garbage) on the main road was fined 50,000 birr. 2. An individual who parked a motorcycle on the sidewalk in Kirkos sub-city was fined 3,000 Birr. Two shops that littered their surroundings were fined a total of 20,000 birr, while a cleaning association was fined 20,000 birr for littering the area. 3. Ledta Sub-City was fined 50,000 Birr for vandalizing the road. The Addis Ababa city administration will work hand in hand with the city’s residents in both development work and infrastructure protection, and will continue to strengthen its efforts to make Addis Ababa a clean, beautiful and comfortable city for its residents.
