The 4th regular meeting of our city council's 5th year term was held on the second day of the Addis Ababa City Auditor General's Office.

On the second day of the 4th regular meeting of the 5th year of our city council, the report on the work performance and audit prepared by the Office of the Chief Auditor of Addis Ababa on our city's institutions was presented to the council and discussed and approved unanimously. The audit report covers 107 government institutions and the types of audit services are financial and legality audits, operational audits, revenue audits, environmental audits and fraud or special audits. The audit work is being carried out following international auditing standards and the accounting system of the Ethiopian government. Accordingly, the findings:- 26 institutions, including the mayor's office, the job and skills office, and the planning and development office, were audited in accordance with the accounting standards and procedures, and no criticism was found in 49 institutions, which is 70% of the total audited; The findings of the audit report show that 31 institutions, especially district offices and colleges, have problems with their accounting. In our city, public resources and assets are not wasted, so that they are properly used for their intended purpose. Correcting what needs to be corrected based on audit findings; It will be possible to support FUINAS employees with capacity building and strengthen audits, as well as continuous monitoring and correction of institutions.
