The executive directors of the authority visited the city's road construction (January 28/2016). The purpose of the visit program organized by the Directorate of Public Relations and Communications of the authority is to understand the road constructions being done in the city and to do its part to make the traffic movement of the city comfortable and to protect the public from traffic collisions in accordance with the vision of the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority. According to this, road safety engineering, road engineering operation, road traffic system control, parking research and management, road safety awareness and capacity building, traffic control and event management, contract management directors and directorate of public relations and communication issues are fully staffed. and visited Bole Bulbula River Bridge mega road projects. Addis Ababa Roads Authority Media and Communication Team Leader Mr. Job Bekele said during the tour of the projects that the road construction projects have been researched to ease the traffic and the traffic congestion in the areas where the roads have been built has been greatly reduced. Mr. Ayoub said that the social and economic benefit of the Lebu Masalesa project is especially great. The project was built on the road from Garment to German Square and from Jemo to Lafto, and explained that it is 1.1 km long. He also visited the Kaliti road, which is under construction and handles seventy percent of the country's import and export trade, and the existing road conditions were not conducive for traffic and delayed the road development of the sub-city. Explaining about the Bulbula river project, Engineer Shimesh Million said that this project is 10.5 km long from Kaliti to Bole Bulbula Koye Fiche and the pedestrian utility work will be completed this year. The members of the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority team also said that they gained good experience from the visit and that it created the ability for them to work together with the Addis Ababa Roads Trainee for their future work. He asked for similar programs to be organized in the future to exchange experience while attending the works on the ground.
