Ednamall – 22 Roundabout – English Embassy Road Project Construction Started Addis Ababa, February 13, 2016:- English Embassy – 22 Bole Ednamall road construction where the city's first smart transport traffic control system will be implemented has started. According to engineer Takele Abraham, the responsible engineer of the road construction project; Excavation works are currently being carried out for the construction of soil cutting and drainage lines in the starting area of the road project. The responsible engineer added that this unique and modern traffic control system will be implemented in a road construction project that will greatly benefit the disabled and pedestrians. In addition to this, Engineer Takele added that various modern technologies that reduce accidents and improve traffic flow will be implemented at squares and road junctions. When these technologies are installed at various road junctions, they will enable the city's traffic control system to be controlled from one center. This road construction project will be carried out by the Chinese Civil Engineering Construction Corporation at a cost of more than 1.2 billion birr with financial support from the World Bank. Apart from the total length of the road project of 4.4 km and 25 meter side width, several road junctions of 4 km length will also be part of the construction. On the other hand, the design of the road project includes modern footpaths, taxi loading and unloading areas, entertainment areas and other services depending on the actual situation of the area.
