Our city's first electric public transport buses started operating today. (Addis Ababa Transport Office, March 16, 2016) The first electric public transport buses have started serving today from Bole_Bestephanos_Aratkilo_Shromeda. The buses are put into service by a private company called Velocity Express. The buses have been made to operate in the distribution line where there is a high public demand. They can travel up to 370 km after a single charge. The buses are modern and comfortable. They will be providing services at the fare rate that City Bus is currently operating.
