The work of imparting road safety education in schools continues to be strengthened.

(T/M/BA/March 24/07/2016) Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority, Kirkos Branch, Road Traffic Safety Awareness and Capacity Building Team held a question and answer competition among students on road safety. Recently, a question-and-answer competition has been conducted to create awareness about the correct use of sidewalks and to remind students to protect themselves from traffic accidents. The question and answer competition was held among the schools under the Kirkos sub-city between the assistant student traffic organizers of Kela Jordan Elementary School. In the program of the competition, it was possible to spread awareness to the school community by preparing and distributing a publication focused on Regulation No. 395/2009, as well as by using a page-by-page teaching method. Recently, there has been a question and answer competition to create awareness about the proper use of pedestrian roads and to help students to protect themselves from traffic accidents. The question and answer competition was also held among the assistant student traffic managers of Felge Yordanos primary school among the schools found under Kirkos sub-city. In the program of the competition, it has been possible to create awareness among the school community by preparing and disseminating a printout focused on rule number 395/2009 and page to page teaching methods. . ·
