Drunk driving control continues in Lemi Kura district

(T/MA/BA/May 3/2016 AD) Traffic Management Authority in Addis Ababa, Lemikura Office, Road Safety Awareness and Regulation Enforcement Directorate's control team has strengthened its control to prevent traffic accidents caused by drunk driving. Based on this, on May 2/2016, 156 drivers were tested for alcohol on the route from the driver to the grandfather, and 9 drivers whose blood alcohol level exceeded 0.4 ml were fined according to Rule No. 395/2009, Level 5/6. Also, education was given to 12 drivers who were found to have an alcohol level of less than 0.4 ml. To prevent traffic accidents caused by drunk driving, the control work supported by awareness will continue permanently at selected places in the district, said the director of the branch's road safety awareness and regulation enforcement directorate, Mr. Mohammad Bai.
