A road safety question and answer competition was held between assistant student traffic organizers. Ababa City Administration Traffic Management Officer conducted a road safety question and answer competition among assistant student traffic organizers from schools and sub-towns identified as vulnerable to traffic accidents. Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority Deputy Director General Ato Amare Tareqin, who gave the opening speech at the question and answer contest, said that one of the activities that the authority is doing to reduce the risk of injury, death and property caused by traffic accidents is to conduct a strict traffic control and road safety awareness program. Therefore, the institute through the road safety awareness and capacity building directorate, in addition to establishing road safety clubs in schools, road safety education is being included in the school curriculum. He said that not only is it included in the next chapter, but it is being given in the form of education. Therefore, the traffic accident in 2015 was better compared to the previous months of 2016. In order to reduce accidents in coordination with the institution, the contribution of the traffic police who tirelessly carry out the control work day and night and the assistant student traffic organizers who organize the flow at the entrance and exit of the school. He pointed out that it is high. Winner of Winners The questions presented to assistant student traffic organizers focused on traffic signs, causes of traffic accidents, traffic laws and regulations, and precautions that pedestrians and drivers should take while using the road. The running of the competition program will help the assistant student traffic controllers to develop their understanding of road safety in addition to performing traffic management tasks in their respective schools. Assistant student traffic organizers from all sub-districts who participated were presented with certificates and the winners were Abounegorgorios First Grade School from Kelmikura Sub-district, Kolfi 2nd Grade School from Addis Sub-district and Lebe Fana 1st and Middle School from Kirkos Sub-district. Students from grades 1 to 3 were given educational aids.
