Field observation was made at the areas where road improvements are to be made ************** (T/M/B December 21/2017) :- Leaders and experts of Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority, Addis Ababa Roads Authority, Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety and stakeholders from WRI conducted field observations at road improvement sites in the city. Field observations were made on Hana Maryam, Jamo Michael and Wingate roads identified as traffic hazards and negatively affecting flow. The areas where the road improvement will be done have been identified based on the requests of the local residents and a study conducted by the institutions, and it has been stated that it includes nearby pedestrian crossings, WANs (opening a separate vehicle lane in one lane) and traffic lights at road junctions. Roads that need to be improved to prevent traffic accidents and make movement more comfortable have been constructed immediately and the direction of the leaders has been given to provide services to the community and the field markings have been completed.
