Recognition was given to the stakeholders who contributed significantly to road safety works ************************** (T/M/B June 24/2016): – The Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority was given thanks and recognition to the stakeholders who worked in coordination with the authority's office to ensure road safety in 2016. In this program, organized by the Road Safety Awareness and Capacity Building Directorate of the authority, the teachers, assistant student traffic controllers, volunteer traffic controllers and Addis Ababa Police Commission traffic controllers who played a significant role in reducing traffic collisions in the city during the fiscal year were recognized and thanked. They are police officers. Birhanu Kuma, the Director of the Directorate, said that they are grateful to the stakeholders who worked together with Balestan Messiriabetu to save the precious lives of human beings from traffic collisions and that the program will continue to be strengthened in the future. Prior to the recognition and appreciation program, a document describing the activities carried out with the stakeholders and plans for the next year was presented, and the participants' questions and comments were answered and explained by the supervisors. Members of Addis Ababa Police Commission's 11th sub-city traffic division, members of the Addis Ababa Volunteer Traffic Steward Association and assistant student traffic stewards were also present at the program.
