In six months of the fiscal year, the authority carried out more than 160 km of road painting work • 1096 signs and indicators were also installed ************************** (T/M/B January 6/2018):- Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority carried out 160 km of different road painting works in the engineering sector in the six months of the 2018 fiscal year. According to the director of the authority's road safety engineering directorate, engineer Merga Sefera, it is planned to paint 90 kilometers of road in six months and more than 70 kilometers of road painting has been done. Also, it is planned to install 1080 signs and indicators and 1096 different road safety signs have been installed in all directions of the city. According to Engineer Merga, recently, a unique and first of its kind in the city, convex markings have been constructed in 41 steep areas, intersections, entrances to public areas, roads without traffic lights, and speed reduction humps that have been identified as having frequent traffic accidents due to speeding.
