It was announced that it is necessary to work hard on the causes of traffic collisions identified as dangerous. – Addis Ababa City Administration Traffic Management Authority at the 6-month plan execution report discussion forum with the stakeholders, the director general of the authority, Ato Kbebew Mideksa, said that according to the authority and duties given to the stakeholders, to reduce the city's traffic collisions, those who have been identified as the primary causes of accidents by driving above the speed limit, drinking while driving Strict control over drivers who speak and wear seat belts should be strengthened. It is remembered that the authority has identified the previous gaps and signed a memorandum of understanding with all stakeholders to jointly carry out tasks related to traffic activity and traffic conflicts for our city in the fiscal year 2016. Based on this, the 2016 6-month stakeholder plan implementation report was submitted by the authority's service delivery monitoring support and evaluation directorate. Further areas of focus are also outlined. In the presentation, the results that were seen as a joint start with the preparation of a liaison document with the stakeholders, the development of a system to evaluate activities, and according to the plan of the liaison document, in the first half of the fiscal year, the plan comparison at the city level reached 89.5. In the discussion, it was pointed out that although there were some gaps in joint work in the last six months, there has been progress compared to the previous system. Taking advantage of this good opportunity, it was agreed that in order to reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by traffic collisions in the city, it is necessary to focus on the primary causes of accidents and the discussion was concluded.
