More than 300 pedestrians who did not follow correct road usage were fined

(T/M/B March 27/2016):- The Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority, Bolena and Addis City branch offices have penalized 381 pedestrians who did not follow proper road use in a way that put themselves at risk, by providing financial and social services.
The Bole branch office has already created awareness of pedestrians crossing the square inappropriately. Today, 90 pedestrians who broke the rules and could not pay fines were ordered to clean the 160 sidewalks in the vicinity of 22 Golagol square.
In addition, the Addis City branch office conducted an awareness raising and control process in the area of the city's Mete Thar and Efoita shopping center. 102 pedestrians were ordered to pay a fine of 80 birr each for jumping the fence, while 29 of them were given social services and counseling services.
In both branch offices, the activities were carried out in collaboration with the police department, traffic police, law enforcement and peace and quiet offices of each district, as well as volunteer traffic management youth.
