(June 11/2016) :- Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority Gender and HIV Mainstreaming Focal Person in collaboration with Lemi Kura District 13 Health Office at Lemi Kura Branch
The manager of the Lemikura branch office of the authority, Mr. Ato Khamariwu, said while opening the training forum that the issue of gender and HIV should be of concern to us both individually and as a city and as an institution. Just like all the others, the matter is being worked on in our office by mainstreaming or including it, and the employee should help in every possible way, he added.
On that day, trainers invited from the health office, in cooperation with the office staff, presented documents to the participating employees about gender, especially HIV transmission, prevention and treatment, as well as practical training on the use of condoms. The employee unanimously agreed to pledge to provide permanent support from their salary to families and orphans affected by traffic accidents and HIV.
