On the other hand, 326 motorcyclists were fined for not wearing crash protection caps/helmets and 9,683 motorists were fined according to Rule No. 395/2009 for talking on the phone, which is a 38.4% improvement compared to the same period last year, the director explained. Birhanu Kuma, director of the institute's road safety awareness capacity building directorate, said that many activities were carried out during the year, such as promoting road safety awareness through the media, publishing results, supporting regular education by carrying out road safety campaigns and providing road safety training. He added that by conducting road safety awareness research, holding symposiums and discussions, establishing clubs, monitoring the deployment of organizers and institutions; They said that they have done work to strengthen the participation of partners. Finally, the directors and team leaders from the branch offices participated in the discussions about the strengths, gaps, and problems encountered during the work.
