More than 900 people were seriously and lightly injured. Addis Ababa Police Traffic Control Department Head of Traffic Skills and Public Awareness Division Inspector Solomon Adane told EPD; The roads in the city did not fit the city in terms of content and were not suitable for pedestrians or vehicles. He stated that the road corridors that are currently being built separate pedestrian and vehicular paths, place vehicle parking spaces and include bicycle paths. He mentioned that this has brought about a fundamental change in terms of smoothing the flow of road traffic and preventing accidents in addition to the construction of the city's appearance. For this reason, in Arada sub-city where the road corridor was completed, especially in Piasa area, there were no deaths and healthy traffic flow in the months of October and November. He mentioned that the traffic accident in the city caused serious and minor injuries to more than nine hundred people in just three months of 2017 and claimed the lives of one hundred and seven people.
