The top leaders of the authority office and the heads of external stakeholders working on road safety observed the city's speed control process by being present in the field. ************ (T/MA/BA January 17/2017): Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority at CMC Stakeholders from various institutions who work with the authority office to ensure road safety in the city have been briefed on the process of driving over the speed limit in the leading area of Road Ayat. During the observation, corrective action was taken against 181 drivers who drove over the speed limit. Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority Traffic Control and Incident Management Directorate Director Ato Ayaleu Etisa said that driving above the speed limit was the first identified risk factor for traffic accidents. Today, Mr. Ayalew pointed out that the speed limit control is one of the roads chosen to control the speed limit of Ayat Lekar Road. The stakeholders present in the field also thanked the traffic control staff and traffic police members who control the speed limit in order to prevent the death, injury and destruction of property caused by traffic accidents. In addition, they announced that the regulatory bodies should be strengthened and provide professional assistance and training to the institutions.
