Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority shared its experience with delegation members from Sidama Region ************************* (T/B February 10/06/2018):- A delegation led by senior management and experts from Sidama Region Transport Bureau visited the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority office to gain experience in technology-assisted transport sector procedures and applications in Addis Ababa. During his visit, he was briefed on the city's traffic management activities. Mr. Amare Tareqin, the director of the authority office, gave an explanation about the functions and responsibilities given by the decree, about the organization, about the stakeholders, and how technology supports its functions and service delivery from time to time. In particular, Ato Amare pointed out that the conversion of the activities to digital has brought great results to the institute and the customer has been saved from abuse. Finally, the traffic control center building, which is the only one in East Africa and managed by the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority, and how the future traffic movement will be operated with the help of technology was explained to the members.
