Congratulations on the baptism of Jesus Christ. For Christians, baptism is a sign of revelation, reconciliation and rebirth. In the past, Adam and Eve sinned, and the human race was separated from God and spent the ages of redemption. Daru, however, even if a person was robbed of his childhood by his murder, it was not lost until the next day. Although he made a mistake that offended his father, he was not forever cursed. Because he received again the grace of childhood that he had lost in Christ. Christ was found in the Jordan when he wanted, not because he himself had sins. Rather, to be a way of reconciliation for mankind, stained by sin. When we celebrate baptism, we should be thinking that the solution to sin is forgiveness, the antidote is reconciliation. Anxiety is a natural phenomenon. There is conflict between father and son, creator and creature, people and people. But forgiveness and reconciliation are inevitable natural events. Just as conflict is a one-time event, reconciliation is a time-consuming process made up of many different events. The destruction of the wall between the Creator and mankind began with words. When God said, "I am born of your son and I will save you," the process of reconciliation began then. But it ended after Christ was born in Bethlehem, baptized in Jordan, carried the cross and crucified. Just as the enmity between God and mankind was fulfilled in Christ; We are on the brink of resolving our differences as a country around the table, and ending our age-old differences. Since the establishment of the National Consultation Commission, in the past three years, a large number of our citizens have participated, involved various stakeholders and brought together different agendas. Our contradictions will be permanently resolved at the end of our consultation, so I would like to take this opportunity to ask you to fight for the end as per the process. Baptism is also a sign of revelation. Before the day of his baptism, Christ was known only to a few. Even those like Herod, who tried to suppress the light of his birth, thought they succeeded. It seemed that the hope of humanity that had appeared in Bethlehem thirty years ago had disappeared again. Like a star that appears and disappears. There were those who considered it like an era that comes and goes, like lightning that appears and disappears. But on the day of baptism, the truth was revealed to the whole world. A witness came from heaven and earth. He was revealed not only to a few like Bethlehem, but to many in Adebabai. And the word, "Listen to him," came from heaven. Before, it was only told to shepherds. But today it was told to everyone who had an ear. He was then in a cage. But now it happened before the world in the valley of Hinnom, by the Jordan River. A timely revelation takes a different course between the target audience and the target audience. The executors of the purpose know where, why, and how it came from. They understand where, how to go. You will understand why such a goal has come about. Therefore, they are ready to make any sacrifice. A single lighted candle is seen slowly igniting the myriads. They see the sun breaking through the clouds, slowly breaking through the clouds. A fire lit from a single log, they can see slowly flickering. But those who hear the news are not like that. They evaluate the process only based on the information they receive. When they think the news is gone, they believe it is gone. When they think the news is hot, they assume it is. They do not know the origin, process and goal of the thing closely. They are not in Bethlehem. They did not stop in Jordan. They will tell those who have seen it. He will talk to those who have heard him. As a result, their decisions and judgments are based on daily events. The kind of people who were present at every miracle, event, and event during the days when Christ was teaching. When he feeds them on the shores of Tiberias, they say, "Let us reign." When he was stopped by Pilate, they judged him by saying, "Crucify him." Today, in the spirit of this festival, I invite us to explore Ethiopia's journey of enlightenment. Ethiopia's values, Ethiopia's resources, Ethiopia's capabilities, Ethiopia's arms, Ethiopia's beauties, Ethiopia's glories, Ethiopia's heights - are being revealed. We have been laying the groundwork for the past few years since the change. When we were reviving the old era, we were forgetting the era of the hadith. When we were clearing the debt of the Torah, we were exploring the reward of the Hadith. When we broke the barriers that held us, we were tearing down the walls that separated us. We waited for what was broken to dissolve, for what was twisted to succeed. We gave a chance for those who didn't understand, and for those who understood to walk. Now all that is over and Ethiopia's era of revelation has come. Its agricultural potential is revealed and it feeds its people. Its mineral potential will be revealed and it will accelerate its growth. Its tourism potential has been revealed and will amaze the world. Its technological potential will be revealed and it will facilitate its development. Her diplomatic skills are revealed and her influence is confirmed. Its production capacity has been revealed and it will light up the world market. Now Ethiopian witnesses are being heard from above and below. The greatness of Ethiopia, which was revealed to a few in Bethlehem, is being shown to the whole world today in Jordan. It is necessary to listen to Ethiopia that has been revealed. We will not be surprised if those who remained in the synagogue said a lot when they saw us appearing in the Jordan. We are the people of Hadith. We have changed many things. We have renewed. They are people of the Torah. They live in their unrenovated streets, their old cities, their tired walls. Ethiopia is from Bethlehem to Jordan. She continues to travel from Jordan to Corinth - from Corinth to Mount Tabor - from Mount Tabor to Calvary - from Calvary to Mount Olivet. She will no longer go back to her old villages. She is no longer afraid of the spells and blows of the pharaoh's magicians. For she saw at Jordan how the sea was parted. This era is undoubtedly the era of Ethiopia. All those who walk with the truth of Ethiopia will walk from strength to strength. Many who understand this are coming to Ethiopia from abroad, even from the forest. Ethiopia is accepting them. We believe that many others will come but it is only a matter of time. Except for the son of destruction, no one will be left with the truth from Ethiopia. We congratulate you once again on the occasion of the baptism of Jesus Christ, where our faith, our system, our culture, our language, our music, and our national unity are manifested in the atmosphere. May Ethiopia be proud of her children's efforts and live forever!! May the Creator bless Ethiopia and its people! January 10, 2018 Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.)
